Rough textures and glam details

DSC_0116mRecently, i had the pleasure of designing a home for a young family that relocated to Ljubljana’s new residential hotspot, Situla. When faced with a task of designing a home for a couple, striking a balance between his and hers taste is always a chalenge, but with this particular project i think we managed to create a home that entwines both energies into one cohesive story…DSC_9994mWe tried to incorporate glamourous, feminine details while keeping the textures rough and  masculine.DSC_0046mKid’s bedroom was designed in a gender non specific way as it is soon about to accomodate a new member of the family  while the master bedroom boasts with fresh airy vibe.DSC_0038mWhat sets the tone of the living area is the gorgeous Wall&Deco wallpaper we got via Studio Ježek. We paired it with Ikea Stockholm dining table, Foscarini Caboche light fixture and kitchen plus chairs from Lesnina.
DSC_0001mThe color scheme of the living room is pretty monochromatic; what is emphasized are the rich texures that vary from polished metals to soft leathers and furs. The bookcase (slash toy firetuck garage) might look custom but it was designed using affordable Ikea elements. Since many of you guys asked – yes, the gorgeous coffee table is from LesninaDSC_0020mThe balcony with classic Rex lounge chairs is the perfect spot to enjoy the gorgeous view of the city and the Alps.DSC_0004mAs the couple already owned many pieces of Ikea’s Stockholm collection we incorporated them in the design and gave them a new life.
